Owned by Linda Thomas, a board member of the Ohio Women’s Coalition like our founder Jane, this business is a powerful example of entrepreneurship, leadership and women supporting women.
New Leaf Marketplace
New Leaf is a social enterprise under the umbrella of the Survivor Advocacy Outreach Program (SAOP). They have a café and marketplace that features Dirty Girl Coffee products. SAOP gives refuge, tools, training, employment, housing, and more to survivors of domestic violence. New Leaf is an amazing partner impacting women’s economic progress through their work, making them an ideal fit with our mission at Dirty Girl Coffee.

Kindred Market is an upscale gourmet market in Athens, Ohio. Dirty Girl Coffee has been with them since they opened. It’s also a women-owned company, owned by a mother-daughter team. Kindred Market is a great partner that shares our commitment to quality and community.

Glouster Revitalization Organization
Glouster Revitalization Organization GRO, is a non profit that works to create venues for small business “one building at a time” in Gloouster Ohio. Dirty Girl Coffee owner Jane Cavarozzi is a founding board member and current board president. Dirty Girl Coffee owner Kara Tripp is also on the board at GRO. Glouster is an economically distressed coal town in Appalachian Ohio that is on the grow! GRO has built a park, and is now in construction on a 9000 square foot building that will play host to a food based entrepreneurial space, a remote work hub, and a community gathering and event space. This project when at capacity will creat 1.6 million dollars in annual payroll revenue in the town of Glouster. Glouster Revitalization Organization has some amazing community members playing key roles to create a micro economy through this project to bring this former coal town back to life.
Survivor Advocacy Outreach Program (SAOP)
SAOP provides refuge and resources to survivors of domestic violence. SAOP empowers the community and all survivors to live free of sexual violence, domestic violence, human trafficking, and stalking.
SAOP uses an empowerment model of service when working with survivors. Survivors know their stories best – because of this, they strive to empower survitors to make the choices they see as being important on their path towards justice and healing. This value also extends to their awareness and prevention work as they strive to empower individuals and communities to have healthy relationships, recognize unhealthy relational patterns, and prevent sexual and relational violence before it occurs.They work with survivors to provide wrap around services such as employment, housing, counseling, training, and whatever else they may need to create a path forward. Now, they’re working on building housing so that survivors can work torward home ownership, a key element in creating generational wealth.
Athens County Foundation
Jane is also a second-term board member of the Athens County Foundation. Athens County Foundation builds on the strengths of our community by advancing participation and collaboration to address longstanding challenges and pursue extraordinary opportunities.. ACF efforts create strategies, programs, and infrastructure to create a positive impact in Athens County Ohio. It is a wonderful organization, and we’re very fortunate to be a small part of it.
Ohio Women’s Coalition
Jane, is a founding board member and currently the board chair of the Ohio Women’s Coalition, the largest collective of women-owned businesses in Ohio. We spearheaded a 21 million dollar state-funded women in business loan fund. Access to capital is a big challenge for women, especially micro-enterprises. We believe when women thrive communities thrive. As this organization grows, we look to provide content, access to capital and other services to help women entrepreneurs develop a sense of community and support one another through the journey of entrepreneurship.

Passion Works is an incredible organization that creates opportunities for enrichment for folks who need it. Lead by the amazing Patty Mitchel, Passion Works is a trailblazer in creating employment opportunities for creative people with and without developmental differences.. Dirty Girl Coffee provides a proprietary roast for Passion Works. Passion Works has been a great partner in bringing life to Glouster Ohio, painting the town through their work on a mural facilitating local kids creations in partnership with Dirty Girl Coffee and GRO. Passion works brings color, life and joy to many communities in Appalachian Ohio.
